Saturday STEM Talk by Harpeth Hall

Come meet Pooja Dutt, an exceptional woman in STEM AND a software engineer at Target, who can teach you about the fundamentals of programming and the possibilities of what computer science has to offer! Pooja received her BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has had a variety of technical experiences. Her most recent ventures include working at a data analytics startup that created predictive modeling for insurance claims, a non-profit organization that trains youth from conflict-affected countries such as Turkey and Syria to code, as well as the retail company Target. She loves the fact that computer science can take abstract ideas and turn them into real-life applications. She believes that anyone can learn the basics of coding in order to build their ideas from the ground up!

Play Like a Girl 16th Anniversary Virtual Dinner Party!

Let’s party together, apart.

It’s a weird time in the history of the world. Never before have we been so technologically connected yet so physically distanced from one another.

Food is an inherently social thing – we meet, we greet, we eat. But what if we can’t meet up any more? It doesn’t mean we can’t take to the interwebs and throw our own party, 2020 style.

Nashville’s biggest virtual dinner party is happening on Saturday, November 7 in support of Play Like a Girl and tickets are now on sale.

The virtual dinner party will kick off a 30-minute cocktail hour and showcase where you’ll make our signature cocktail and celebrate the 2020 Play Like a Girl Volunteer of the Year honoree LaPourche White.

The evening will consist of a talk or two, some music, a live cooking masterclass and digital dining rooms to drop in and out, before leading into a living room party for two! All guests will receive a party box in advance which will include everything needed for the evening ahead, including cocktail mix and fresh, restaurant-quality ingredients for a three-course dinner and masterclass hosted by Amerigo Italian chef, Steven Robilio. Party boxes can be picked up at the below locations and dates:

PICK-UP DATES

Friday, November 6th from 2 – 5 PM

PICK-UP TIMES
